Sikaflex 552 AT
- Elastic STP adhesive
- 1-component adhesive
- For bonding large sections
Sikaflex 552 AT is an elastic 1-component assembly adhesive based on the Sika Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) technology. This adhesive is especially designed for bonding large components in vehicle assembly. It is suitable for bonding coated metal, GRP, ceramic materials and plastics. It bonds well to a wide range of substrates with minimal pre-treatment. Sikaflex 552 AT is produced according to the ISO 9001/14001 quality assurance system and within the framework of the "responsible care" programme.
Benefits of Sikaflex 552 AT
- Ageing and weathering-resistant.
- Good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates without primer.
- Isocyanate- and solvent-free.
- Capable of withstanding high dynamic stresses.
- High elasticity and very low VOC value.
- Can be painted.
- Silicone and PVC-free.
Applications
Sikaflex 552 AT is suitable for joints that will be subjected to dynamic stresses. Suitable substrate materials are metals, particularly aluminum, metal primers, paint coatings, sheet steel, ceramic materials and plastics. It bonds well to a wide range of substrates with minimal pre-treatment. Seek our advice and perform tests on original substrates before using Sikaflex 552 AT on materials prone to stress cracking. Sikaflex 552 AT is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed ensuring adhesion and material compatibility.
