Plexus MA420 is a 2-component methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals and composites. This methacrylate adhesive is combined at a 10:1 ratio and cures rapid (approximately 20 minutes). Plexus MA420 is the standard choice for composites bonding applications in the transportation industry, because it requires virtually no surface preparation. Moreover, this product offers a unique combination of excellent fatigue endurance, outstanding impact resistance and superior toughness.
Plexus MA420 Methacrylate Adhesive is supplied as standard in a cartridge of 380 ml (component A + B). Do not forget to order the correct Plexus Mixing tube.

Directions for use of Plexus MA420
Follow the directions below to apply Plexus MA420 correctly.
- Open the cartridge and screw on the mixing nozzle. Ensure the partition in the middle is in place so that the components remain properly separated.
- Place the adhesive cartridge into the appropriate applicator gun.
- Dispense a small amount of adhesive onto a piece of cardboard first to ensure the components are thoroughly mixed. Once the colour turns blue, the adhesive is ready for use.
- Ensure that the surfaces are joined within the specified working time (4–6 minutes) to achieve maximum bonding strength.
- Hold the parts in place until the adhesive has reached sufficient strength.
- Use enough material to completely fill the joint when the components are brought together and secured.
