Tec7 WP7 Polymer Cement Coating

  • Polymer cement coating
  • Waterproof from 2 mm
  • Resists water pressure and salt

With this polymer cement coating from the Tec7 Waterprotect 7 product range, you can make basements and walls 100% waterproof. This hard but elastic coating is ideal for damp cellar walls, cellar floors and technical rooms. The polymer cement coating can be tiled, plastered and painted.

After mixing with water, Tec7 WP7-501 is easy to apply with a brush, it adheres well to porous materials and hardens quickly. Tec7 is salt and water pressure resistant on stable and receptive substrates. Crack bridging capability and permanent immersion resistance. Prevents or greatly reduces salt efflorescence, waterproof but vapour permeable.

Benefits of Tec7 Polymer Cement Coating

  • 100% waterproof
  • Simple application
  • Waterproof and salt resistant from 2 mm
  • Also on wet walls

Applications WP7-501

  • The solution for damp stains on cellar walls and floors, plaster delamination due to dampness, salt bloom ("saltpetre"), mould formation on walls and ceilings, musty smell and crumbling damp walls.
  • Waterproof underlayment for basement floors and terraces, waterproof coating for wells, tanks, ponds.
  • Protective coating for concrete surfaces (EN 1504-2).
  • Waterproofing of foundation walls.

Instructions for use

  • Remove as much old paint and loose plaster as possible. Dilute the waterproofing primer 1:1 with pure water and apply it to saturation with the spray pump on a clean, receptive and stable substrate.
  • Then mix the required amount of polymer cement for the first coat (1 kg per 1.2 m2 ). The mixing ratio is 400 ml of water per kg. Mix with a slow mixer (500 rpm) until a thick, lump-free mass is obtained and leave for 2 minutes. Stir again before using. The mixture can be worked for 35 to 45 minutes, depending on the room temperature. Never add water to the mixture when it sets in the pot, so that the mixing ratio is maintained: mix as much product as you can apply in the working time.
  • Apply the first coat of +/- 1 mm vigourlessly to the still wet primer using a wide, stiff brush.
  • Allow to dry for 2-5 hours before applying the second coat (the first coat must be dry to the touch). Moisten the first coat with water using a sprayer and apply the second coat +/- 1 mm at right angles to the brushing direction of the first coat.

Immediately clean the material and the spilled product with clear water. After curing, it can only be removed mechanically. Complete curing after 7 to 14 days, depending on temperature. Air humidity during this period: 50 - 80%. Ensure ventilation to avoid condensation. Do not use a tumble dryer or dehumidifier during the first month after application. Can be painted over after curing with a breathable paint. Consumption: 1 x 10 kg bag for 6 m2 (2 mm thick in 2 coats on a smooth wall).
