Epifanes Gold Paint

Epifanes Gold Paint is a single-component gold paint with excellent coverage. It is ideal for decorative applications on board, such as lettering wooden nameplates, enhancing wood, or applying a gold decorative trim.

Applications of Epifanes Gold Paint

• Lettering wooden nameplates (indoors and outdoors).
• Enhancing stone, steel, wood, and iron in combination with the appropriate primer or over existing well-adhering paint and varnish systems.
• Creating gold lettering and/or gold trim.

Directions for use

Follow these steps to apply Epifanes Gold Paint correctly:

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, grease-free, and well-sanded.
2. On bare polyester, steel, wood, stone, or zinc, always apply a coat of Epifanes Multi Marine Primer first and sand it with P180 grit.
3. Stir the gold paint well before and during use.
4. For an even, opaque gold finish, apply at least 3 coats. Do not apply wet-on-wet and avoid overly thick layers to prevent sagging or drying problems. Apply the gold paint in smooth strokes without repeatedly brushing over the same area.
5. For outdoor use, an additional protective layer is required. After 48 hours of drying, the gold paint can be finished without sanding using two-component Epifanes Poly-urethane Yacht Paint (high gloss) for maximum UV protection, or use Epifanes Clear Varnish (single-component) for a warm finish (this slightly darkens the colour).
