Yachtcare VT Gelcoat Filler (Gelcoat Spachtel VT) is a 2-component paste-like gelcoat filler. The white filler is particularly suitable for repairing fine layer cracks, deep scratches and small damages in the outer gelcoat layer of your GRP hull. Yachtcare Gelcoat Filler comes with the corresponding BPO hardener, release foil and a spatula, so you can start using the gelcoat filler immediately. You can colour this gelcoat filler with polyester pigment.

Directions for use
Yachtcare Gelcoat Filler is very easy to use. Make sure the surface you are going to fill is clean, dry and grease-free. Lightly sand the damaged part to improve adhesion and tape the area around it if necessary. Next, mix the Yachtcare Gelcoat Filler with 2 to 3% of the supplied BPO hardener. Apply the filler directly to the damaged part and smooth it with the spatula. Then remove the adhesive tape, cover the repaired area with the release film and press lightly.
The processing time is approximately 6 minutes at 20°C and after 20 minutes the gelcoat putty is fully cured. Remove the foil only after the gelcoat filler has cured. If applied carefully, no further grinding and polishing is required.
