This cement-based casting compound is activated with water and reinforced with polymers for extra strength and a smooth, impact-resistant surface. Ideal for creative projects such as making coasters, vases, plant pots, candle holders, soap dishes and even terrazzo items. Aqua Cast Texture is specially developed for use in silicone moulds and offers an excellent detail reproduction. You can choose a smooth or textured finish. The product is 100% compatible with the standard Aqua Cast casting material, ideal to combine in one project.

Aqua Cast pigments

Use water-based pigments, such as Resi-Tint Acrylic inks, acrylic paint or pigment powder, to colour Aqua Cast Texture. You can also choose to incorporate solids such as sand, mica, quartz or dried Aqua-Cast shards into the casting.

Directions for use

Aqua Cast Texture is easy to use. To do this, follow these steps:

• Weigh the desired amount of Aqua Cast Texture powder on a (digital) scale. 
• Then weigh the correct amount of water according to the mixing ratio (100:20, 100 grams of powder and 20 ml of water)*.
• Slowly add the powder to the water and mix well for 2-4 minutes until lump-free.
• Immediately pour into your mould and allow to settle, any residual bubbles can be popped by agitating or tapping the mould.
• Allow to harden for 2-3 hours before demoulding.
• Allow to dry for 24-48 hours to reach optimum cured strength.
• To obtain a rough/textured finish you can simply sand the surface with a coarse grade sandpaper or abrasive pad (40, 80, 100 or 120 grit). Wet sanding is particularly effective.
