Mirka Abranet Ace enables dust-free sanding. It is developed for tougher and more demanding sanding applications. Because of its optimised net construction and ceramic grains, Abranet Ace offers superior cut and performance for hardwoods (such as beech and oak) and fast cutting on various solid surface materials. Abranet also works excellent on primer sanding applications, creating an optimal performance and lifetime.
Due to the greatly improved dust extraction of this material, it lasts much longer than traditional sandpaper. The sanding grain remains sharp and effective. Mirka Abranet Ace is available in grit P80 up to and including 320 grit and is available per sheet or per box of 50 sheets.

- P120-P180: further levelling and intermediate sanding.
- P240-P400: finer sanding before the next finishing stage.
- P600 and finer: very fine sanding or preparation for polishing, depending on the material.
These are general guidelines. Choose the grit based on the substrate, desired finish and instructions for the next coat. Different grit grading standards are not always directly comparable.

Grit type describes the abrasive mineral used in a sanding product. It affects material removal, abrasive life and suitability for different surfaces.
- Aluminium oxide: a general-purpose abrasive for wood, paint and metal, among other materials.
- Silicon carbide: a very hard, sharp grit often used for fine sanding and wet-and-dry abrasive paper.
- Ceramic grit: wear-resistant and suitable for high material removal, particularly in demanding sanding work.
Grit size, backing material and machine choice also affect the final sanding result.
