Product description

Gibco Flexmold Re-Deck is a unique material that allows decks to be fitted with an anti-slip pattern similar to those found on shipyard-built vessels. The material consists of a gel coat layer with a self-adhesive backing, providing a luxurious appearance and excellent anti-slip properties.

Gibco Flexmold Re-Deck can be supplied in 5 different profiles. See the photos for this. The dimensions of a plate are 122x366 cm.

Re-Deck patterns

The Re-Deck patterns are available in the following patterns:

  • Pattern 103: Diamond pattern with very good anti-slip properties, certified as slip resistant per ASTM F-462.
  • Pattern 106: Oval pattern with very good anti-slip properties, certified as slip resistant per ASTM F-462.
  • Pattern 110: Round pattern with very good anti-slip properties, certified as slip resistant per ASTM F-462.    
  • Pattern 118: Capped pyramid pattern with very good anti-slip properties.
  • Pattern 123: Wave pattern with very good anti-slip properties.

Directions for use

  1. Ensure the deck is sanded, smooth, and clean.
  2. Cut the Flex-Mold to the desired size.
  3. Bevel the edges of the Flex-Mold.
  4. Place the Flex-Mold on the deck and tape one side to secure it.
  5. Lift the Flex-Mold and remove one or more strips of backing film.
  6. Press the Flex-Mold firmly in place. Remove additional strips of backing film and press the Flex-Mold down again.
  7. After applying the entire section, roll from the center outward using a hard roller.

Alternatively, Flex-Mold Re-Deck can also be applied with a suitable adhesive, such as epoxy glue.
