Glass fabric 80 gr/m2 (square)
- For epoxy and polyester
- Suitable for model making
- Lightweight
Glass fabric is a reinforcement material made of finely woven glass fibers. Thanks to the square weave structure, this glass fabric has a higher tensile strength than fibreglass chopped strand mats (CSM) and absorbs less resin. This creates a lighter and stronger construction.
Glass fabric works excellently with polyester resin, vinylester resin and epoxy resin.
Features Glass fabric 80 gr/m2
- Lower resin absorption than glass fibre mat (lightweight result).
- Suitable for straight surfaces.
- Fabric does not crease.
- High tensile strength.
- Available in 80 gr/m2 and 200 gr/m2.
Applications
Glass fabric is often used to reinforce wooden objects, such as plywood. In addition, this type of fabric is also suited for waterproofing wet areas. Due to the square weave structure, glass fabric is particularly suited for straight surfaces. It can be laminated tightly and does not crease.
