Double Coat DD Paint Metallic 1 kg

With DD Lacquer Metallic, you can easily create a stylish metallic finish. First, apply several coats of DD Paint in your desired base colour, then finish with a single coat of DD Paint Metallic.

Double Coat is a popular two-component polyester lacquer, renowned for its high scratch resistance, excellent UV stability, and long-lasting gloss. This makes it highly suitable for boats, epoxy tables, and many other applications on polyester, epoxy, wood, metal, and plastic.

Directions for use 

Always wear the correct protection when using Double Coat paints. Therefore, always use a suitable vapour mask, safety goggles, gloves and protective clothing.

You can process DD Paint according to the following steps:

1. Open the base component, stir thoroughly, and weigh the desired amount into a clean mixing cup. Use a (digital) scale.
2. Add the hardener in a 67:33 ratio.
3. Mix gently, scraping along the sides and bottom of the mixing cup. Allow the lacquer to react for 30 minutes.
4. Then add approximately 5-10% Double Coat spray thinner and stir well again.
5. Apply the lacquer evenly with a spray gun. For smaller surfaces, such as a waterline, Double Coat Metallic can also be applied with a brush or roller.
6. DD Paint will be dust-dry after about 2 hours and fully cured after 5 days.
