Araldite 2031-1 Epoxy Adhesive
- Black pasty epoxy adhesive
- For metal and carbon composite
- Very strong adhesive bonding
Araldite 2031-1 is a two-component epoxy adhesive supplied as a black paste that cures at room temperature. It has been specially developed for bonding metals to composite materials. Thanks to its thixotropic properties, the adhesive remains in place and does not slump in bond lines up to 10 mm thick. This makes Araldite 2031-1 particularly suitable for the most demanding metal-to-composite bonding applications, including GRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic), CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced plastic) and SMC composites.
Features of Araldite 2031-1 Epoxy Adhesive
- High chemical resistance.
- Specially developed for bonding metals to composites.
- Thixotropic (non-slump).
- High-strength adhesive with resilient bond performance.
- Excellent weather resistance.
Suitable applications
Araldite 2031-1 is suitable for bonding the following materials:
- Glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP).
- Carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP).
- Fibre-reinforced polyester and thermoset composites.
- Ferrous metals, aluminium and copper.
