Aqua Cast Turbo
At a glance
- Environmentally friendly acrylic
- Very fast curing
- Fire safe
Aqua Cast Turbo is a fast-hardening, environmentally friendly casting and modeling material, enriched with polymers. This variant hardens faster than our standard Aqua Cast and is very suitable for making decorative objects, artwork and home accessories.
The plaster-like product is easy to use. You only have to add water to the powder to get started. After mixing, Aqua Cast Turbo is hardened after only 15 minutes!
Benefits of Aqua Cast Turbo
- Very fast curing (15-20 minutes).
- Environmentally friendly.
- Easy to use.
- Perfect for coasters, ornamental vases, candle holders, terrazzo, etc.
- Very strong material.
Aqua Cast pigments
Use water-based pigments, such as Resi-Tint Acrylic inks, acrylic paint or pigment powder, to colour Aqua Cast Turbo. You can also choose to incorporate solids such as sand, mica, quartz or dried Aqua Cast shards into the casting.
Directions for use
Aqua Cast Turbo is easy to use. To do this, follow these steps:
- Weigh the desired amount of Aqua Cast Turbo powder on a (digital) scale.
- Then weigh the correct amount of water according to the mixing ratio (100:40, 100 grams of powder and 40 ml of water)*.
- Slowly add the powder to the water and mix well for 2-4 minutes until lump-free.
- Immediately pour into your mould and allow to settle, any residual bubbles can be popped by agitating or tapping the mould.
- Allow to harden for 15-20 minutes before demoulding.
- Allow to dry for 24 hours to reach optimum cured strength.
* This mixing ratio is only a guideline, you can adjust it according to the desired thickness or application.

Mixing ratio indicates how much of each component is needed, for example resin (A) and hardener (B). A ratio of 100:50 by weight means 100 grams of A to 50 grams of B; by volume you might use millilitres. Weight and volume ratios are not necessarily the same because the components may have different densities. Accurate measuring is important for proper curing.

Curing time is the period a product needs to reach a specified stage of cure. It is usually given in hours or days, often at a reference temperature such as 20 °C. A product may be tack-free or safe to handle before reaching its full mechanical and chemical resistance. Film thickness and mixed quantity may also affect the time.

Working time is the period during which a product remains workable after mixing or activation, usually given in minutes at a specified temperature, often 20 °C. With reactive resins, the chemical reaction also continues in the mixing container, and larger quantities or higher temperatures can shorten this time. Working time is different from gel time and full curing time.
- Approximately 3-5 minutes (at 23 °C)
