BILTEC vacuum chamber for Stabicure

To process Stabicure wood stabilisation in a professional manner, a vacuum pump in combination with a vacuum chamber is required. However, the standard BILTEC vacuum chamber is not suitable for venting Stabicure. The lid of this vacuum chamber is made of plexiglass, which is not suitable for Stabicure. Small cracks appear in the lid and it will eventually break. To solve this problem, we have developed a special vacuum chamber with a polycarbonate (PC) lid, a material that perfectly meets the requirements of Stabicure. Unfortunately, polycarbonate is a lot more expensive than plexiglass, which makes this vacuum chamber a lot more expensive.
What is Stabicure?
Stabicure is a transparent stabiliser used to stabilise wood, bone, leather, antlers and other porous materials. By impregnating the material with Stabicure Resin it will no longer absorb moisture, splinter, age or discolour.
