The BILTEC vacuum pump with vacuum gauge is versatile and ideal for a wide range of applications. Use the pump, for example, to degas casting resins, perform vacuum infusion (Resin Infusion), dry materials such as mobile phones, produce essential oils, and much more.

BILTEC vacuum pumps are user-friendly, quiet in operation, and reliable. Thanks to the built-in vacuum gauge, you can monitor the vacuum level accurately, while the electrically controlled valve prevents air from re-entering the workpiece when the pump is switched off.

Directions for use

Follow the instructions below to use the vacuum pump and watch the video. The full manual can be found under the “Documents” tab.

  1. Fill the pump with the supplied oil up to the middle of the sight glass.
  2. Check that the hose barb is securely attached and that the rubber ring is in place.
  3. Connect the pump to your application, ensuring a leak-free connection.
  4. Switch the pump on using the rear-mounted power switch.
  5. While the vacuum is building, the pump may make a rattling noise, which will change to a humming sound once the vacuum is reached (this may take a few minutes).
  6. The pump housing may become warm; this does not affect the pump’s operation.
  7. Keep an eye on the oil level and top up if necessary.
Note: a light oil mist (smoke) from the exhaust is normal during vacuum build-up. If the pump continues to rattle or emit mist, it may not be achieving sufficient vacuum. In that case, check the system for leaks.
