Sika Primer-206 G+P

Sika Primer-206 G+P is a solvent-based black primer that cures upon exposure to moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between the substrate and the adhesive. Sika Primer-206 G+P is specifically formulated for the pre-treatment of bonding surfaces prior to the application of Sika's 1-component polyurethane adhesives.

Sika Primer-206 G+P is used to improve adhesion on substrates such as float glass, ceramic-coated glass, primer coatings, painted surfaces and certain plastics and metals. Tests should be performed with the substrates under the actual application conditions to determine adhesion and material compatibility.

Instructions for use

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and other contaminants before applying Sika Primer-206 G+P. Adhesion to the substrate can be improved by using or combining pre-treatment methods such as roughening, cleaning and activation.
• Shake the can very thoroughly until the mixing ball rattles freely.
• Continue shaking for another minute (the ideal application and substrate temperatures are between 15 °C and 25 °C).
• Apply the primer carefully with a brush, felt roller or foam roller to create an even, fully covering coat.
• Tightly reseal the container immediately after each use.
