UltraCast XT Epoxy Resin is the ideal casting resin for coating bar tops (Bar Top Epoxy), kitchen countertops, table tops, coasters, etc. Characteristic of this epoxy resin is its high temperature resistance (70-75ºC) and transparent end result.

Processing

UltraCast XT is easy to process by carefully mixing the two components in the mixing ratio of 2:1. The epoxy offers a long working time of approximately 90 minutes, while curing takes place relatively quickly. This allows the cast surface to be finished further in a short time.

Note: Adding colour pigments or other additives may negatively affect the heat resistance of the epoxy. Due to the long working time, UltraCast XT can, under certain conditions, be sensitive to amine blush (a wax-like layer on the surface). This risk increases with high humidity, low ambient temperatures (15 °C or lower), and in drafty or windy environments, such as when air conditioning is in use. To minimize this effect, we recommend slightly preheating the resin component (Component A) before mixing. In addition, ensure a stable workspace with consistent temperature and humidity during curing.
