Epifanes Clear Varnish

- Classic yacht varnish
- High elasticity
- High UV resistance
Epifanes Clear Varnish is a high-gloss classic marine varnish with long-lasting gloss retention. It is a one-component varnish that is highly UV resistant, partly due to the extra built-in UV filter. This gives the wood optimum protection against discolouration caused by sunlight! This boat varnish excels because of its exceptional high elasticity, which prevents cracking on working wood. This traditional marine varnish is based on tung oil, phenolic-modified alkyd resins and maximum U.V. absorbers. It therefore offers exceptional resistance to weather influences, water and wear. It has outstanding protection for all marine and household woods and can be applied to Interior and exterior woods above the waterline.
Benefits of Epifanes Clear Varnish
Epifanes Clear Varnish offers unparalleled protection and a deep, long-lasting high gloss that accentuates the natural character of wood. The varnish is extremely weather-resistant, water-repellent and resistant to UV radiation, which prevents aging and discoloration. Thanks to its excellent flow and adhesion, the varnish is easy to apply and suitable for various types of wood. In addition, the varnish remains flexible and does not crack or peel easily, even in temperature fluctuations and humid environments.
Features Epifanes Clear Varnish

Applications
Epifanes Clear Varnish can be used for new work on solid bare wood (e.g. meranti, mahogany, Oregon pine) and plywood both for inside and outside above the waterline. In addition, this boat varnish can be used for maintenance of intact existing, one- and two-component varnishes regardless of brand. Not suited for direct use on epoxy resin.
Processing instructions
Do not apply Epifanes Clear Varnish wet-on-wet and avoid higher layer thicknesses than advised to avoid sags and problems with drying through. Always ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying of the paint. Avoid applying paint in full sun or wind. Under these conditions, rapid evaporation of solvent occurs, which can prevent the paint from flowing properly.
