Epifanes Rust Remover

Epifanes Rust Remover is a powerful rust converter based on water-displacing polymers. The product temporarily halts the corrosion process and prepares rusted surfaces for further treatment with paint or primer. Ideal for treating steel both above and below the waterline, and particularly effective in hard-to-reach areas such as corners and pit corrosion.

Application

Use Epifanes Rust Remover for manually removing rust from steel surfaces on your boat or other metal objects. Also ideal for components where mechanical rust removal is difficult.

Directions for use

1. First remove loose rust with a wire brush or coarse sandpaper (grit ± P60).
2. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove debris.
3. Degrease the surface with Epifanes Cleaning Thinner.
4. Apply a single thin coat of Epifanes Rust Remover with a brush.
5. After reaction, a smooth blue-black layer forms, which can be overcoated with a (thinned) anti-corrosive primer after 3 hours and up to a maximum of 2 days.
