3D Core
At a glance
- Pressure-resistant, decay-proof
- Unique hexagonal cells
- Perfect for vacuum infusion
Product description
3D Core is a core material suitable for manual processing with vacuum and vacuum infusion. It adds great thickness at low weight. The hexagonal cell structure allows the material to be formed easily and gives the 3D Core a solid structure.
Features 3D Core
- Lightweight.
- Easy to process.
- Gives a rigid result.
- Rot-free and water resistant.
How does 3D Core work?
3D Core is a patented honeycomb structure placed in a closed-cell PET or XPS foam core. The honeycombs, which are connected to each other via small bridges, run through the entire foam core and enable high flexibility of the core. Between the individual honeycomb foam bodies there are cavities filled with a matrix of synthetic resin that, as an integrated flow aid, support the filling process. After the matrix has hardened, the foam core retains its shape and develops excellent technical properties. The covering layers on both sides of the foam core are connected via the honeycomb structure. This prevents the coating layers separating from the core (delamination) and also minimizes the risk of complete collapsing of the part.
