Product description

RESION Polyester Primer (similar to G4 bonding primer) is a one-component primer that can be used as a bonding layer for polyester resins on wood, concrete, masonry, old polyester and epoxy layers, metals, etc. The primer is also suitable for model building, as a base layer for further processing or as a finishing layer. By applying the G4 bonding primer you get a very good bond with the polyester laminating resin in combination with fibreglass chopped strand mat applied afterwards.

When do you use polyester primer?

You use this polyester primer to create a bonding layer when you are going to apply polyester resin to stone-like or wooden surfaces.

Directions for use

The polyester primer is a single-component primer, so you do not have to mix it with a hardener and you can apply the resin directly to the surface with a flat brush or fleece roller. You can dilute the bonding resin with PU thinner if desired. Depending on the temperature and humidity, you can then continue processing polyester resin after 30 minutes. The bonding resin dries by evaporation.
