RESION Silicone Pigment is a specially formulated pigment paste for colouring silicone rubber. It’s easy to use: add approximately 0.2% pigment paste to the silicone rubber and mix thoroughly. This creates a uniformly coloured casting!
This pigment paste is available in a variety of colours and comes in 100 g pots. Thanks to its universal formulation, the pigment is particularly suitable for colouring translucent silicone rubber.
What is silicone pigment?
Silicone pigment is a concentrated colourant specially designed for use with silicone rubber. Unlike general-purpose dyes, this pigment does not affect the curing, flexibility, or strength of the silicone, as long as it is used at the correct dosage.
The pigment is available in a variety of colours and should be mixed into the silicone mixture before casting.
How to use silicone pigment in silicone rubber
For the best results, follow these steps:
- Mix the silicone pigment into component A.
- Stir until the desired colour is achieved.
- Add component B.
- Mix components A and B according to the prescribed ratio.
- Process the silicone mixture as usual.
By mixing the pigment into component A first, you prevent colour inconsistencies and achieve a uniform final result.
