Sikaflex 298 FC is a slightly thixotropic fast skinning bedding compound for marine applications. This PU adhesive turns into a durable elastomer, under the action of atmospheric moisture. Sikaflex 298 FC is used for sealing decks made of teak, marine plywood, iroko on fibreglass, steel or wood; also for sealing indoor floors (wood, marble, laminated).
Sikaflex 298 FC meets the regulations set out by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).

Application
Sikaflex-298 CF is suitable for bonding deck covering materials made from synthetic resins (except polyethylene and polypropylene) and for bedding-in of teak plank decking laid on top of the sub deck surface. Suitable substrates include GPR, marine plywood (WBP), steel and aluminum sealed with an anti-corrosion coating (epoxy or polyurethane-acrylic based) and stainless steel.
