Sikaflex-298 FC is a slightly thixotropic fast-skinning bedding compound for marine applications. This PU adhesive cures into a durable elastomer under the influence of atmospheric moisture. Sikaflex-298 FC is used for bedding or bonding decks made of teak, marine plywood or iroko on fibreglass, steel or wood; also for bonding indoor floors (wood, marble, laminated).
Sikaflex-298 FC meets the regulations set out by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).

Application
Sikaflex-298 FC is suitable for bonding deck covering materials made from synthetic resins (except polyethylene and polypropylene) and for bedding in teak plank decking laid on top of the sub deck surface. Suitable substrates include GRP, marine plywood (WBP), steel and aluminium sealed with an anti-corrosion coatings (epoxy or polyurethane-acrylic based) and stainless steel.
