Directions for use
Sikaflex 591 can be applied at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C, but it is important to consider possible changes in reaction and application within this range. The optimal temperature for both the substrate and the product is between 15°C and 25°C. The sealant can be easily applied using a manual, pneumatic, or electrically powered piston-type caulking gun. Sikaflex 591 has a working time of approximately 20 minutes and a skin formation time of around 35 minutes at 23°C.
If Sikaflex 591 is used in combination with polyurethane adhesives or sealants, these must be allowed to cure for 24 hours before applying Sikaflex 591.
