IJmopox HB Coating (RAL colours)

- 2-component epoxy coating
- Available in RAL colours
- Protects against osmosis
IJmopox HB coating is a high solid two component buildcoat for general purposes based on epoxy resins and a polyamide hardener. This coating is often used as a primer for further finishing with DD Paint High Gloss or DD Paint Silk Gloss. Recommended for osmosis repair and osmosis prevention systems.
HB Coating in RAL colours
Normally, HB Coating is available in a white, black, or grey base colour. At Polyestershoppen, however, we can custom-tint HB Coating (from 4 litres upwards) in any desired RAL, Sikkens, or NCS colour! By choosing a tinted coating, you’ll get better coverage for the finishing topcoat, meaning fewer layers are needed for a smooth, opaque result. For large projects, this can save a significant amount of time, effort, and cost.
Benefits of IJmopox HB Coating
- Available in all RAL colours.
- Offers protection against corrosion (steel) and osmosis (GRP).
- Excellent resistance to various chemicals and (sea) water.
- Can be painted over directly with most types of antifouling.
- Low in solvents.
- Easy to apply.
Directions for use
Follow the instructions below to apply the epoxy coating correctly:
- Clean, sand and degrease the surface.
- Wipe the surface with a tack cloth to remove the last dust.
- Stir the base component and weigh the desired amount into a clean mixing cup.
- Add the hardener in the correct ratio to the base.
- Stir the mixture well.
- Thin the coating as desired and application with approximately 5% IJmopox Thinner.
- Apply HB coating evenly to the surface with a brush or velour roller. Roll the surface immediately, without pressing hard.
