Gelcoat is a polyester prepaint that protects glass fibres from moisture and provides a gloss layer. Gelcoat is used in moulds and is available by colour. It evens out relief and makes the glass fibres stick. This RESION brand gelcoat has very good resistance to water, chemicals and heat. In addition, the coating combines well with all polyester laminating resins and polyester topcoats.

The polyester gelcoat is available in all RAL colours. Simply choose the desired colour and we will make sure it is delivered to your home pre-coloured.
Product properties
You need a hardener to use the coloured gelcoat. The table below lists the hardener required per quantity of gelcoat.

Gelcoat always sticks to the evaporation side. If you want to avoid this, you should use the polyester topcoat. We also sell complete gelcoat repair sets for small repairs.
