Epoxy floor primer for damp substrates

  • For slightly damp substrates
  • Vapour permeable
  • Suitable for cellars, etc.

Are you going to make a floor in your basement or on a cement floor that is still damp? This epoxy floor primer has been specially developed for damp substrates and can be used on concrete, screed, cement or wood, among others. The substrate may be slightly moist (not wet). An ideal solution when the subfloor is not sufficiently hardened or dried or when moisture penetration occurs.

Instructions for use for floor primer (damp substrates)

Weigh the components according to the correct mixing ratio and mix both components well until a clear liquid is obtained. The bottled epoxy floor primer for wet substrates can be mixed in a mixing cup and then processed. Larger packages are better mixed in a bucket. In order to mix the larger quantities of floor primer properly, you can use a spiral mixer.

It is important to quickly pour the primer onto the floor after mixing because otherwise the processing time is short. After pouring, spread the resin with a floor squeegee. Avoid puddles and roll over crosswise with a 18 cm nylon roller.

We recommend that this job will be carried out by 2 persons to ensure that the material is placed within the processing time.

TIP: for good protection it is best to wear spiked shoes, disposable overalls and nitrile gloves.

You can also order the primer in the colour white. White primer is mainly used to cover a light coloured epoxy coating floor better.

For a PU or an Epoxy cast floor a coloured primer is not necessarily required. The layer of these floor systems is considerably thicker and therefore provides better coverage.
