Transparent epoxy floor coating

- Nice transparent layer
- Smooth flow and high gloss
- From 250gr/m2
A transparent floor coating can be applied on floors of concrete, sand-cement, anhydrite, granite, tiles with the right epoxy primer.
This coating can be applied in thin layers with a roller or, if desired, can be poured in thicker layers, whereby a completely flat effect is obtained. The epoxy then flows out completely flat.
Applications transparent floor coating
Transparent floor coating is ideal if you still want to see the surface but are looking for extra reinforcement. That is why this product is often used for the following applications:
- As a gloss layer over (damaged) tile floors.
- As a protective layer over wooden floors.
- As a protective layer over cement-bound floors (concrete, sand-cement, anhydrite).
- As a glass like layer over 3D floors.
Properties
As the name suggests, this epoxy floor coating is completely transparent. It is UV-stabilised, which means you will not experience any yellowing. When you apply the transparent floor coating, the surface takes on a shiny appearance.
Use of transparent floor coating
This product has a processing time of 60 to 90 minutes. Once the coating has been applied, it can be walked on after approximately 48 hours. This depends on the temperature of the room where the floor coating has been applied. The coating is fully cured after approximately 7 days.
Consumption
This product can be used for both floor coating and cast floor. The consumption for both purposes is as follows:
- as coating: approx. 250 gr/m2 per layer
-
as casting floor: approx. 1.1 kg per m2 per mm layer thickness
Substrate
If necessary, use a suitable primer:
- epoxy primer for dry substrates: concrete, sand-cement, anhydrite, wood
- epoxy primer for smooth substrates: tiles, glass, mosaic, granite
- epoxy primer for damp substrates: damp wood, damp concrete
Finishing
You can leave the transparent epoxy floor coating natural. For even better scratch resistance, or a different level of gloss, you can use the following finishing coats:
For floors up to 15m2 DD lacquer can be applied, for larger floors VS230 can be applied to give the floor a silky/matt look.
- High gloss: DD lacquer high gloss
- Silk gloss: Silk gloss coating
