If you use your boat or yacht regularly, proper maintenance is essential. International primers are ideally suited for this purpose. In addition to a 1-component primer, International also offers a 2-component primer: International Interprotect.
International Interprotect is a fast-curing, 2-component epoxy primer with excellent corrosion protection. Thanks to its high abrasion resistance, it can be used on steel, aluminium, zinc/galvanised steel, lead and wood. Interprotect is suitable for use both above and below the waterline.

You can easily apply the Interprotect epoxy primer to:
- Aluminium / galvanised steel (zinc-coated)
- Lead

Directions for use
Follow the steps below to apply International Interprotect:
- Prepare the substrate according to the instructions in the technical documentation (section: Application and Use).
- If filling is required, use a suitable filler after the first coat of Interprotect has been applied.
- Remove all dust before starting the painting process.
- Open both containers and stir each component separately.
- Add the hardener to the base and mix thoroughly.
- Allow the mixture to stand for 10 minutes to allow air bubbles to escape.
- Apply the number of coats specified in the technical documentation (1–5 coats depending on substrate and use) using a nylon roller or brush. Coverage is approximately 8.1 m²/L.
