Impermax ST is a thixotropic resin for sloping surfaces. This makes the resin extremely suitable for sheet pile roofs and ponds.
Impermax is a high-quality liquid membrane, based on a single component polyurethane. This resin has a high elasticity (400%) and it bridges cracks and shifts in the surface. Ideal for waterproofing (swimming) ponds, water tanks, canals, terraces, balconies, baths, etc. It dries quickly, even at low temperatures.
Cure time: 12-24 hours in winter, 4-6 hours in summer. Does not adhere to PE/PP.

Directions for use
Apply at least 3 to 4 layers of Impermax ST to obtain a membrane thickness of 1.5 to 1.9 mm (2 kg per m²). We recommend using Impermax Primer to improve adhesion to the substrate.

The recommended application temperature range indicates the conditions under which the product can generally be applied and cured properly. Three temperatures matter:
- Air: the temperature in the workshop or outdoors.
- Substrate: the temperature of the surface being treated.
- Product: the temperature of the resin, adhesive or coating itself.
A cold substrate can cause condensation and affect adhesion. At higher temperatures, two-component products may react faster, reducing their working time. Check the dew point and follow the product instructions.

A primer or suitable surface preparation helps the next product bond properly to the substrate. Different surfaces require different treatments:
- Porous substrates such as some concrete floors may need impregnation or priming to reduce absorption and bind loose dust.
- Non-porous or smooth substrates such as certain tiles may need sanding or a specialist adhesion primer.
- Metal and existing paintwork may require their own cleaning, sanding and priming system.
Remove dirt, grease and loose material. Also check the substrate's moisture level and whether the primer is suitable for both the substrate and finishing coat.

Consumption or coverage describes how much product is needed for a given surface area. Consumption may be stated in g/m² or kg/m², while coverage is often given in m²/L or m²/kg. A consumption of 0.2 kg/m² means a theoretical 200 grams per square metre. Actual use depends on film thickness, substrate absorbency, application method and waste.
