Product description

RESION UV Resin Art Epoxy MV is a medium-viscosity epoxy resin. This versatile epoxy is highly suitable for various resin art applications—especially for coating and creating paintings and other artwork on all types of surfaces. The resin is very easy to work with, using a 2:1 mixing ratio. It cures crystal clear and contains built-in UV stabilizers. If you’re looking for a thicker epoxy, RESION UV Resin Art Epoxy MV is the casting resin you need!

The biggest difference between RESION UV Resin Art epoxy and RESION UV Epoxy is the 2:1 mixing ratio compared to the 100:60 mixing ratio of RESION UV Epoxy. Medium viscosity epoxy

This resin art epoxy has a medium viscosity. This means that the epoxy resin flows quite thick, which makes the resin very suitable for making resin art paintings. Due to the medium viscosity of this casting resin, pigments sink less quickly into the epoxy. The medium viscous Art Epoxy is therefore also very suitable if you are going to work with alcohol inks (such as Piñata). You can influence the placement of the pigments with a hair dryer or heat gun.

Directions for use

Using RESION Art Epoxy is very simple if you follow the following steps:

Weigh the base component (A) and the hardener (B) well according to the mixing ratio stated on the packaging (2 parts by weight of resin to 1 part by weight of hardener).
Mix the base and hardener thoroughly for 3 minutes. Also scrape well along the side and bottom of the mixing cup!
If desired, add pigments to colour the resin.
Then apply the epoxy to the surface you will use (the pot life is 30-60 minutes at 20℃).
After application, allow the Art Epoxy to cure for approximately 12-18 hours before it is manageable (note: after 3-5 days the epoxy will not be fully cured).

Note: for outdoor applications, we recommend finishing the epoxy with a clear DD Paint.
