RESION UV Resin Art Epoxy LV
- Low viscosity
- UV stabilised
- 2:1 mixing ratio
- Suitable for jewellery etc.
RESION UV Resin Art Epoxy LV is an epoxy resin specially developed for Resin Art. Thanks to its convenient 2:1 mixing ratio, this resin is easy to work with. The resin contains a UV stabiliser, which means it yellows less quickly than standard epoxy resins. This low-viscosity (LV) epoxy is therefore particularly suitable for making jewellery, orgonites, paintings, coasters, and other artwork on a wide variety of substrates.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced Resin Art creator, RESION UV Resin Art Epoxy LV is the ideal choice for all your creative projects!
Benefits of Resin Art Epoxy LV
- High quality transparent epoxy.
- Adheres to almost all surfaces (such as wood, concrete and plastics).
- Easy to use due to a 2:1 mixing ratio.
- Low viscosity (flows easily).
- Odourless.
Low-viscosity epoxy casting resin
This epoxy casting resin has a low viscosity, meaning it flows easily. This makes it ideal for creating Resin Art jewellery, orgonites, coasters, and paintings. It is also suitable for filling silicone moulds with epoxy.
Resin Art epoxy vs. RESION UV epoxy
At first glance, RESION UV Resin Art Epoxy and RESION UV Epoxy (CAST25) appear very similar. Both resins are transparent, odourless, and suitable for castings up to 2.5 cm. However, there are some important differences.
Resin Art Epoxy has a simple 2:1 mixing ratio, allowing you to get started quickly and easily without complex calculations. For fully transparent castings, we recommend RESION UV Epoxy, as this resin offers very high UV resistance and maximum clarity. The Resin Art Epoxy (LV) is less UV-resistant and therefore less suitable for long-term transparent castings.
| Resin Art Epoxy LV | UV CAST25 | |
| Mixing ratio | 100:50 (2:1) | 100:60 |
| UV resistance | Medium | Very high |
| Viscosity | Low | Low |
| Transparency | High | Very high |
| Odour | None | None |
| Maximum casting thickness | 2.5 cm | 2.5 cm |
In summary: choose RESION Resin Art LV Epoxy for creative projects that require easy mixing, and RESION UV Epoxy (CAST25) when you want a fully transparent and UV-resistant casting.
Directions for use
Using RESION Art Epoxy is very simple if you follow these steps:
- Weigh the base component (A) and the hardener (B) according to the mixing ratio stated on the packaging (2 parts by weight of resin on 1 part by weight of hardener).
- Mix the base component and the hardener thoroughly for 3 minutes. Also scrape well along the side and bottom of the mixing cup!
- If desired, add pigments to colour the resin.
- Apply the epoxy to the surface you will use (the pot life is 30-60 minutes at 20℃).
- After application, allow the Art Epoxy to cure for approximately 12-18 hours before it is manageable (please note: it takes 3-5 days before the epoxy is fully cured).
