Gloss or matte
An epoxy floor is high-gloss as standard. Don't you want this? Then we recommend you order a matt gloss coating for epoxy floors. A silk gloss coating also provides extra protection and scratch resistance. Do you use the garage to park a car? Then choose RESION PU TireProof (silk gloss for garages). This garage floor coating is stronger than RESION silk gloss coating and therefore resistant to migration of car tyre rubber.
Do you work a lot in your garage? Then you might want to apply an anti slip structure. We offer various anti slip materials. This way your floor will always be sturdy, even when wet.
Get cracking!
Now that you know which products the package consists of, we would like to explain how to apply the epoxy floor in the garage. We have written this down step by step for you. Would you rather watch an instruction video? You will find it under the following step-by-step plan!
- Make sure that the surface is free of dirt and dust, so always clean your garage floor thoroughly. Do you have damage or is your floor uneven? Please repair this with TEC7 Floor Fix.
- Do you have many or large irregularites? Then consider using levelling epoxy first.
- Apply the epoxy floor primer. Roll it out crosswise with a fleece roller and allow to cure for 20 hours.
- Mix all components of the epoxy floor coating. These are components A, B and the pigment paste. Mix well with a spiral mixer.
- Pour the mixed epoxy over the garage floor. Keep a small amount in a mixing cup. This can be used for the edges. Spread the floor coating with a floor squeegee so that you cover the entire garage floor. Then roll it all out crosswise with a fleece roller.
- You can check the edges with a flat brush and use the floor coating from the mixing cup.
- Now leave to cure for 48 hours. After 72 hours the floor can be used. Wait seven days before putting your car inside, for example.
This is why you will want an epoxy floor in your garage
An epoxy floor coating provides a sleek and robust appearance that really embellishes your garage floor. It is not only attractive, but also functional. A single layer of epoxy floor coating produces a wear-resistant floor that is approximately 0.5 mm thick and suitable for heavy loads. After just one coat, the floor is strong, scratch and impact resistant, as well as resistant to acids and chemicals. There are also many other benefits:
- Fully liquid-proof, no problems with rain or snow.
- Available in any RAL-colour.
- Very easy to clean.
- Safe product to work with.
- Primers for every surface.
