Product description

In the long term, epoxy castings may yellow due to UV radiation. The hardener largely determines the resistance to yellowing. Hardeners like RESION Epoxy Coating and RESION Epoxy Resin have good UV resistance. However, we recommend using a UV blocker, especially for outdoor applications. This significantly improves the UV resistance of a casting.

Tip: are you looking for UV-stable epoxies to which you do not need to add a UV blocker? Then use RESION UV Epoxy, Epoxy for large castings or UV Resin Art epoxies!

Benefits of the UV Stabiliser for Epoxy

Directions for use

Add about 1% of this UV stabiliser to the total weight of epoxy casting resin and hardener. This helps extend the UV resistance and protect the casting from discolouration by sunlight. You can mix the UV blocker into the epoxy resin beforehand or add it to the mixture after mixing.

The UV stabiliser does not affect the colour or transparency of the epoxy.

Please note: the UV stabiliser may become thick or solidified due to temperature fluctuations (crystallisation). When heated, the UV stabiliser should liquefy and become suitable for use again. If in doubt, please contact us.
