UV Stabiliser for Epoxy
- Protection against yellowing
- Only 1% required
- Suitable for all epoxy resins
In the long term, epoxy castings may yellow due to UV radiation. The hardener largely determines the resistance to yellowing. Hardeners like RESION Epoxy Coating and RESION Epoxy Resin have good UV resistance. However, we recommend using a UV blocker, especially for outdoor applications. This significantly improves the UV resistance of a casting.
Benefits of the UV Stabiliser for Epoxy
- Considerably increases the UV stability of epoxy.
- Easy to use.
- You only need 1% stabiliser of the total weight of epoxy.
Directions for use
Add about 1% of this UV stabiliser to the total weight of epoxy casting resin and hardener. This helps extend the UV resistance and protect the casting from discolouration by sunlight. You can mix the UV blocker into the epoxy resin beforehand or add it to the mixture after mixing.
The UV stabiliser does not affect the colour or transparency of the epoxy.
