Epoxy floor primer for dry substrates
- For absorbent surfaces
- For cement, concrete and wood
- Good adhesion to epoxy and PU
Use this epoxy floor primer for dry surfaces of concrete, cement, screed, metal, stone and wood. This floor primer cancels the absorbing effect of substrates and ensures a good adhesion of the floor coating or cast floor. Do you want to get started with installing your own floors?
How to use epoxy primer for dry substrates
Weigh the components according to the correct mixing ratio and mix both components well until a clear liquid is obtained. The bottled epoxy floor primer for wet substrates can be mixed in a mixing cup. If you have chosen the option 'coloured white', you can add the white epoxy pigment to the primer after mixing components A and B. If you have mixed the whole (primer + pigment) well, you can start processing it.
It is important to quickly pour the epoxy primer over the floor after mixing, otherwise the processing time will be short. After pouring, spread the resin with a floor squeegee. Avoid puddles and roll over with an 18 cm nylon roller. We advise to apply epoxy floor primer for dry surfaces with 2 persons.
You can easily mix the sets in buckets (component A). There is enough space to add component B to component A. Mix the primer in the bucket well with a spiral mixer and the primer is ready for use.
Coloured Epoxy primer for dry substrates
Epoxy Primer for dry substrates is supplied in a transparent colour. This ensures that the substrate remains visible after application of the primer. If desired, you can give Epoxy primer for dry substrates a desired colour using epoxy pigment in RAL colours.
You can also order the primer in the colour white. White primer is mainly used to cover a light coloured epoxy floor coating better.
For a PU or an Epoxy cast floor a coloured primer is not necessarily required. The layer of these floor systems is considerably thicker and therefore provides better coverage.
