Square Glass Fabric 600 gr/m2
- Low resin absorption
- For panel stiffness
- Very good wetting
Square glass fabric 600 gr/m2 is a high-quality heavy fabric often used for building boats, surfboards, longboards, skis and much more. The fabric consists of two layers of unidirectional fibres: one along the length of the roll and one across the width. This provides excellent compressive and tensile strength.
The advantage of this square glass fabric is that it allows for a light, yet very stiff construction. Due to the tight fibre alignment, resin absorption is minimised, which improves efficiency and strength of the laminate. Square glass fabric offers a high flexural strength and results in a thickness of 0.78 mm after lamination and curing. The fabric is easy to laminate with epoxy, polyester and vinylester, with a resin absorption of approximately 495 gr/m2.
